Last month the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America hosted a cocktail competition at its 67th annual convention in Las Vegas. Master mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim served as emcee of the event, and bartenders Marcos Tello, Jim Romdall, Jonathan Pogash, Aidan Demarest, Joe Brooke and Jeffrey Morgenthaler judged the more than 30 cocktails submitted by exhibiting companies.

The three favorites, the Leblon Brazillionaire, DonQ Rum’s Passion Potion and Brown-Forman’s Mayahuel, competed in a final round. The spicy Leblon Brazillionaire (Leblon cachaça, Cherry Heering, passionfruit puree) won best in show. Below are the recipes for the three cocktails. You be the judge. Cheers!
