A simple, minty classic, the South Side is the perfect introduction to gin cocktails.

Ingredients in the South Side Cocktail

  • 5 Mint leaves
  • 1 oz Simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water)
  • 1 oz Lemon juice
  • 2 oz No. 3 Gin

Garnish: Mint sprig

Glass: Cocktail

How to make the South Side Cocktail

In a shaker, muddle the mint and simple syrup. Add the lemon juice and gin, and fill with ice. Shake, and double-strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a mint sprig.

  1. This is one of my all-time favorites!
    I would highly recommend using lime juice instead of lemon for this drink, and more mint leaves :D
