Try this orange-liqueur spin on the classic Dark & Stormy.
Ingredients in the Perfect Storm Cocktail
- 1.5 oz Grand Marnier
- .5 oz Fresh lime juice
- 3 drops Angostura Bitters
- 3 oz Ginger beer
Garnish: Lime wedge
Glass: Highball
How to make the Perfect Storm Cocktail
Add all the ingredients except the ginger beer to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with the ginger beer and swirl. Garnish with a lime wedge.
I’m sure I’m not the first to do so–and don’t get me wrong, I certainly do like the Dark & Stormy–but sometimes I subsitute gin for rum. It’s darn tasty. I call it a “Pastey White and Stormy”. He. He.
