About the Hard Water Presbyterian Cocktail

A slightly spicier version of the classic Presbyterian, this bourbon drink has a real ginger kick.

Ingredients in the Hard Water Presbyterian Cocktail

  • 2 oz Club soda
  • 2 oz Old Forester Bourbon
  • .75 oz Lemon juice
  • .5 oz Ginger syrup (1 part sugar, 1 part ginger juice)

Garnish: Candied ginger

Glass: Collins

How to make the Hard Water Presbyterian Cocktail

Fill a Collins glass with ice, add the club soda and set aside. Add the remaining ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake briefly and double-strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a piece of candied ginger.

This is a fancier version of the classic Presbyterian, served at Hard Water in San Francisco. Watch Hard Water bartender Erik Adkins make both versions in our How to Cocktail video.
