About the Cruzan Flip Cocktail
With rum, cream and egg, this drink is the perfect nightcap.
Ingredients in the Cruzan Flip Cocktail
- 1.5 oz Cruzan Single Barrel Rum
- .5 oz Heavy cream
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 Fresh egg
Garnish: Grated nutmeg
Glass: Cocktail or juice
How to make the Cruzan Flip Cocktail
Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a cocktail glass or 5-ounce juice glass. Garnish with a light dusting of freshly grated nutmeg.
I’ve yet to have been asked to make a flip in my 10 yr career behind the well, but I am looking forward to trying this one out at home.
Just made one of these bad boys with Old New Orleans brand rum. It was pretty tasty for my first cocktail with egg.
Does it really make that big of a difference if I use Bacardi rum?
This recipe was created using Cruzan Single Barrel, but you can definitely substitute another brand. Be sure to use an aged dark rum.
