Ingredients
- Salt (optional)
- 1 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
- .25 oz Grand Marnier
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice
- .75 oz Ginger Root Simple Syrup*
- 1 Egg white
Garnish: Lime wheel
Glass: Highball
Preparation
If desired, coat the rim of a highball glass with salt, fill with ice and set aside. Add the remaining ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
*Ginger Root Simple Syrup
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Water
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 large piece Fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
PREPARATION:
Bring the water to a boil over high heat in a small saucepan. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. Place the ginger in a mesh strainer and pour the syrup over while muddling the ginger.
