Fall and Summer

INGREDIENTS:
- 1.5 oz Don Julio Añejo Tequila
- .5 oz Fig preserves
- .5 oz Orange juice
- .5 oz Ginger syrup*
- 5 leaves of Fresh rosemary
Garnish: Rosemary sprig
Glass: Rocks
PREPARATION:
Muddle the Don Julio Añejo Tequila, orange juice, fig preserves and rosemary leaves in a shaker. Add the ginger syrup and shake well. Strain the drink into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a rosemary sprig.
*GINGER SYRUP:
INGREDIENTS:
- .5 Cup water
- 1 Cup of sugar
- Ginger root
PREPARATION:
To make ginger syrup, boil half a cup of water in a pan and dissolve 1 cup of sugar in it. Once completely dissolved, remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool completely. Finely chop ginger root and place it in a mesh strainer. Pour simple syrup over the top and muddle the ginger through the strainer creating a concentrated ginger-simple syrup.
