Dubious Manhattan

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • .5 oz Dubonnet Rouge
  • .5 oz Sweet red vermouth
  • 1 dash Peach bitters
Garnish: 3 Drunken Plumped Cherries*
Glass: Martini

PREPARATION:

Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a Martini glass. Spear 3 Drunken Plumped Cherries on a cocktail pick and drop into the drink.

*Drunken Plumped Cherries

INGREDIENTS:
  • .5 cup Dried sweet cherries
  • .5 cup Dubonnet Rouge
  • .25 cup Sugar
  • .25 cup Hot water
PREPARATION: Place the cherries, Dubonnet and sugar in a small bowl. Pour in the hot water and stir well. Cover, and let stand at room temperature for at least 12 hours before using. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 months. (This recipe makes 1 cup.)
