How you should drink Bacardi Rum

Bacardi and Diet Coke has been my mainstay for over 20 years now. When I want a change I go with Jack and Diet Coke or Johnny Walker Black on the rocks. I always come back to Bacardi though. When mixed with Diet, it just seems to pop with flavor. How I mix it: Full glass of ice, 3 oz of Bacardi, 2 oz of Diet Coke. Oh yeah.

Shaun, straight spirits don't go "bad" per se, but they can become oxidized and lose flavor. (It's not unsafe to drink oxidized booze, but it might be unpleasant.) For more info, check out our story Taming Your Liquor Cabinet: http://liquor.com/articles/taming-your-liquor-cabinet/.
