Fast Facts

  • Auchentoshan means “corner of the field” in Gaelic.
  • Auchentoshan and Hazelburn are the only triple-distilled Scotch whiskies. Other single malts are distilled just twice.
  • The distillery may be in Glasgow, but the brand’s water source is the Cochno Loch in the nearby Kilpatrick Hills.

    Triple distilling Single malt? What a waste. When will people learn more times distilled = less congeners = less FLAVOR!

      I hear you Joey, but having recently had (past tense) a bottle of Auchentoshan, I can tell you that is most assuredly not the case.

    I purchased a jar of Three Wood on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh 2 years ago. Very satisfying. I haven’t been able to find a source in my part of the USA. As such, I had to ration myself to make it last about 6 months. It’s like missing an old friend.

    21 years old is delicious, with notes of chocolate and vanilla, at least in my case.
