How to Cocktail: Daiquiri, Mint Julep and Mojito

Last month, we offered you How to Cocktail videos on the Martini, Gimlet and Vesper featuring our advisory board member Simon Ford. And now we have a new set of tutorials taught by another of our talented advisors, Dushan Zaric.

Not only does Zaric run a bartending academy, but he is also co-owner of acclaimed New York watering holes Employees Only and Macao Trading Co. In fact, this past summer, Employees Only was named the world’s best cocktail bar at the Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans.

We got him to reveal the secrets to creating some of our favorite classic drinks, including the traditional Daiquiri, the refreshing Mint Julep and the quaffable Mojito.

Watch these three segments now and then get to mixing!

Daiquiri:

Warning: This recipe is not for the blended version, but instead for a truly delicious, simple concoction, served up. Click here for the full recipe.

Mint Julep:

While it tastes great on Derby Day, you’ll enjoy fixing and drinking this old-timey tipple all year long. Click here for the full recipe.

Mojito:

From muddling to shaking, Zaric will teach you the proper technique for making this rum-based standard. Click here for the full recipe.
