Farm to Drink: Seasonal & Savory

Savory Margarita - Fall Cocktails

As the weather turns cool and the leaves begin to change, we crave hearty meals and complex cocktails.

Just in time, here’s the latest short film in our Farm to Drink series hosted by award-winning bartender and Liquor.com contributor Charlotte Voisey, which is all about seasonal and savory creations. (If you missed the first episode, Farm to Drink: Sweet Concoctions, it’s still online, so you can watch it now.)

We shopped with Voisey at her local San Francisco farmers’ market and picked up an array of fresh herbs and produce, which she then turned into a couple delicious elixirs for us. Her Savory Margarita is a tasty mix of red bell pepper, reposado tequila and honey syrup, and her Rosemary & Rhubarb is a wonderful combination of autumnal favorites and apple-flavored vodka. She also shared a healthy serving of her best tips and advice for working with these unusual mixological ingredients.

After viewing the video, you should start fixing drinks. It’s getting blustery out there…

  1. Why on Earth would anyone use artificially flavored spirits after going through the “trouble” of shopping at the Farmers’s Market and get the freshest, most natural ingredients? Might as well use canned fruits. :(
